Awana clubber turned missionary

Jennifer Jansalin
It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in man.

Jennifer started as an Awana clubber in Leyte. When she was 19 years old, she had many goals set before herself, one of which is being an Awana Missionary. And she knew what kind of missionary she wanted to be – a kind that was akin to many things: a brave soldier who defends the Truth no matter the cost; a caring teacher who instructs and nurtures students in the Word; an intelligent news correspondent who always proclaims the Gospel no matter the circumstance; a gifted artist who helps imagine the beauty of God’s providence and creation; and an adventurous traveler who never hesitates to go where the Lord leads her. Now Jennifer continues to teach and touch the lives of as many kids as possible in her fullest ability, believing that these kids might be the next generation of missionaries who follow dreamers like her.

Jennifer faithfully serves the Lord as a Missionary in Eastern Visayas, working with 65 churches and ministering to 3,764 children. She carries with her along her journey the teachings and trainings she herself received through Awana. Indeed, God is so good and truly faithful, and His plans are always the best!
